Better than the first

I'm liking this a lot more, sample quality could be better. Love the overblown base and, in general, everything after the intro works.

philjo responds:

Cheers mate, I really need to practice producing Dubstep more, It's fun to make but I gotta get better!
Thanks for a very fair score!

smooth and progressive

Not a bad track at all, it's a bit heavy on the progressive. Quality makes up for that well enough. Though; I felt the song couldn't make up its mind between ambient and hard, just a matter of taste, though. Keep on mixing!

darthduba responds:

IDB is a mixture of drum and bass and ambient :) It's often called Ambient 'N Bass. Look it up on google, there is a nice wiki describing the genre.

Thanks for the review

Bass in my face

Cool stuff, I definitely like the rhythm-centric nature of this piece, no pissing about with crazy, iffy melodies. It's an itneresting mix of tonal and atonal, low range stuff that fits together surprisingly well, so props.

Deathadder99 responds:

Thanks for the review - glad you liked it !

Some sinister beats

I especially liked the intro of this song, though I think the higher melody stuff should have matched the wierd, dissonant, slideyness of the bass. I sort of feel like I've got two songs here. All the same, this is a hair from amazing, IMO. So a 9 for you!

Melophobik responds:

Wow, thanks a lot man! This is one of my earlier songs so I had trouble with figuring out what kinds of sounds to incorporate with a nasty bassline like the one here. You should listen to some of my latest stuff, I'm sure you won't be disappointed ;)

darickadakadak!

Heheh, the vocal line was alternately annoying and delightfully bizzare. Great sequencing in the drums. This definitely isn't your typical DnB flavor, it tastes decidedly more eastern :P

ZOMGBIE responds:

I was kinda goin' for that eastern Indian flavor, seeing as it's a remix from a song from the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack (awesome movie btw.) It's good that vibe is still present. Thanks for the review.

Deep song

I appreciate how original this song's sound is. But, the best respect has to go to length and mixing it up the whole way through. It's a neat actioney track I could see in a good VG soundtrack (might have to take that up myself ;) )

Rawrthaas responds:

thanks!

Great, multiphase piece

This pace has a nice even canter to it. Also, you did nail the amss effect feel decently well (profuse use of echoes helps,) though you'd need more orchestral. All the same, good show, especially the first part.

SupraDarky responds:

Thanks Gogs, happy you like it!

Neat, for newskool

I'm not really a hip hop guy, but this has diversity and really plays its time well (not repetitive.) Around 2 minutes I get less sure. But, it's pretty slick. Now get some vocals and you're good to finish this.

Gorgorothx responds:

hey thanks, man! I appreciate the comments. I am currently attempting to get my girlfriend to do vocals on some of my tracks ;)

Very rich

This bite of chocolate cake / music reminds me of Slam! by Pendulum. Very awesome!

Rig responds:

Mmmm, cake.

Slick

Yes, you will >:3
